In the 4th test match at Wankhede Stadium in 2003, India won the match by just 13 runs stopping Australia to one of their lowest scores in test cricket. India settled down in Australia in the 2nd inning, where Murali Kartik was awarded as player of the match by taking 4 wickets in the first and 3 in the second. Damien Martyn was awarded as the player of the series; this Border-Gavaskar Trophy has been won by Australia by 2-1.
