Chennai Super Kings Player Retention ahead of IPL 2025
The five-time IPL champion Chennai Super Kings, also known as CSK, have revealed their six retainers ahead of the IPL 2025 Mega Auction. They have kept Indian cricket legend MS Dhoni as well as their last year’s captain, Ruturaj Gaikwad. Other retained players include all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, power hitter Shivam Dubey, and fast bowler Matheesha Pathirana from Sri Lanka. With these five retentions, CSK aims to build their squad around these players in the IPL 2025 Mega Auction.

MS Dhoni
MS Dhoni has won 5 titles as the captain of Chennai Super Kings (CSK). He is 43 years old and retired from international cricket in 2019, so he hasn’t played any international matches in five years.
