Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have retained six players ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction: Rinku Singh, Varun Chakravarthy, Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, and uncapped players Harshit Rana and Ramandeep Singh. They have decided not to retain their title-winning captain Shreyas Iyer and Mitchell Starc, who they bought for a record INR 24.75 crore in 2024. KKR IPL 2025 retained players’ stats

Rinku Singh

Rinku Singh has become an important middle-order batsman for KKR, known for his consistent and quick scoring. In his IPL career of 45 matches, he has scored 893 runs at an average of 30.79 and a strike rate of 143.34. His highest score is an unbeaten 67, and he has hit 67 fours and 46 sixes.

In 2024, Rinku played 14 matches, scoring 168 runs with a strike rate of 148.67. His standout season came in 2023 when he scored 474 runs at a remarkable average of 59.25, with four half-centuries and a high strike rate of 149.53. Rinku’s ability to play crucial innings makes him a key player for KKR in challenging situations.

Sunil Narine 

Sunil Narine has been a key bowler for KKR in the IPL, known for his tight economy and consistent wicket-taking. Over his career of 177 matches, he has taken 180 wickets with an impressive economy rate of 6.73. His best bowling figures are 5 for 19, and he’s been a reliable bowler in both powerplays and death overs. In 2024, Narine played 15 matches, taking 17 wickets with an economy of 6.69, showing his skill in controlling runs and getting breakthroughs.

As a batsman, Narine is known for his powerful hitting, often scoring quick runs. In 2024, he had one of his best seasons with the bat, scoring 488 runs, including a high score of 109, and maintained a strike rate of 180.74. Throughout his career, he has scored 1534 runs with a strong strike rate of 165.84, proving his value as both a bowler and a hard-hitting batsman.

Varun Chakravarthy

Varun Chakravarthy has been a consistent bowler in the IPL, known for his spin and wicket-taking ability. Over 71 matches, he has taken 83 wickets at an average of 24.12 and an economy rate of 7.56. His best bowling figure is 5/20.

In IPL 2024, Varun played 15 matches for KKR, claiming 21 wickets with an average of 19.14 and an economy of 8.04, with a best of 3/16. In 2023, he took 20 wickets in 14 matches with an average of 21.45 and an economy of 8.14. His 2020 season was remarkable as well, with 17 wickets at an average of 20.94, including a five-wicket haul.

Andre Russell 

Andre Russell has been a game-changer in the IPL for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) with his explosive batting and impactful bowling. Across 127 matches, he has amassed 2,484 runs at an impressive strike rate of 174.92, including 11 half-centuries and a highest score of 88*.

In IPL 2024, Russell scored 222 runs in 15 matches with a solid strike rate of 185.00, hitting one fifty. His standout season was in 2019, where he amassed 510 runs with an astonishing strike rate of 204.81, showcasing his incredible hitting ability with four fifties, including 31 fours and 52 sixes.

As a bowler, Russell has taken 115 wickets in 127 IPL games with a best bowling figure of 5/15. His bowling skills have continued to impress, especially in IPL 2024, where he claimed 19 wickets in 15 matches with an average of 15.52 and an economy rate of 10.05. His ability to pick up crucial wickets and his impactful spells make him a valuable all-rounder for KKR.

Harshit Rana 

Harshit Rana has shown promise as a bowler in the IPL with 25 wickets in 21 matches, an average of 23.24, and an economy rate of 9.05. His best bowling figures are 3/24.

In IPL 2024, Harshit played 13 matches and took 19 wickets at an average of 20.16 with an economy of 9.08, and his best performance was 3/24. In 2023, he took 5 wickets in 6 matches with an economy of 8.65. He debuted in 2022, playing 2 matches and taking 1 wicket with an economy of 10.20.

Ramandeep Singh

Ramandeep Singh has made a steady impact with the bat in the IPL, scoring 170 runs in 19 matches with an average of 28.33 and a strike rate of 166.67. His highest score is 35.

In IPL 2024, Ramandeep played 14 matches, scoring 125 runs with an impressive average of 31.25 and a high strike rate of 201.61, hitting 5 fours and 12 sixes. In 2022, he played 5 matches and scored 45 runs at an average of 22.50 with a strike rate of 112.50.
