Punjab Kings retained only two uncapped Indian players: Shashank Singh, who was a key player last season, and Prabhsimran Singh, their opener from previous seasons. Notably, the team released some key players, including one of the best Indian fast bowlers, Arshdeep Singh, along with Liam Livingstone, Kagiso Rabada, Shikhar Dhawan, and others. However, the team still has a chance to bring some of their released players back into the squad during the auction using the Right to Match (RTM) card. Shashank Singh 

Shashank Singh is an explosive batsman who has made his mark in the IPL with impressive performances last season for Punjab Kings. In his IPL career, Shashank has played 24 matches, scoring 423 runs with a highest score of 68 not out. His batting average stands at 35.25, and he has a remarkable strike rate of 161.45.

In the 2024 season with Punjab Kings (PBKS), he played all 14 matches and scored 354 runs, averaging 44.25 with a best of 68 not out. His ability to accelerate the scoring makes him a valuable asset in the lower middle order.

During the 2022 season with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Shashank played 10 matches, scoring 69 runs at an average of 17.25. Although his contributions were limited, he showcased his potential in the shorter format. Prabhsimran Singh

Prabhsimran Singh is a promising young talent in the IPL, known for his aggressive batting style. In his IPL career, Prabhsimran has participated in 34 matches, scoring a total of 756 runs with a highest score of 103. His batting average is 22.23, and he maintains a strike rate of 146.22. He has recorded one century and three fifties in his IPL journey.

In the 2024 season with Punjab Kings (PBKS), he played all 14 matches and scored 334 runs, averaging 23.85 with a best score of 71. His strike rate of 156.80 showcases his ability to score quickly, contributing significantly in the middle order. He hit two fifties and made 34 fours and 20 sixes during the season.

During the 2023 season, Prabhsimran again represented PBKS, scoring 358 runs in 14 matches, with a higher average of 25.57. He also registered a century (103) and a fifty in this season, highlighting his potential as a top-order batsman. His strike rate of 150.42 demonstrates his aggressive approach at the crease. Prabhsimran’s ability to play impactful innings and his potential for explosive scoring make him an exciting prospect for the future of Punjab Kings and Indian cricket.
